Everyone Loves a List...

  1. Do not bake a chocolate cherry cola cake unless you are prepared to spend 5 minutes out of every hour trying to cut off tiny little slices so it doesn't feel like you're eating the whole thing.  You could be using that time for better things - eat a whole darn piece.
  2. Regarding the above, when 2/3 of what was in the pan that morning is missing, your husband will still know it was you - he wasn't there to see those "tiny" slices.  For all he knows  you sat, pan in hand, watching the first season of the office again swearing that "this one, this is your last bite".
  3. Do not suggest to your husband that you play that 1970's board game you bought at the thrift store starting at oh...9:30 at night - you might be up all night in a gambling frenzy.  Who can resist a shaky dice thing?
  4. Do not put off washing out the pot you made the turkey pot pie filing in until you get home, otherwise when you walk in the door you'll be forced to ask what smells like a cat ate onions and died in there.  Your neighbor, who already thinks you're a nutty couple due to paper thin walls might now begin to worry.
  5. Finally, if you must turn up Cat Stevens and dance around your second floor apartment at night with the lights on, pull down the blinds.  The minute you stop paying attention someone will be mirroring your dance from the sidewalk across the street, and well, what a way to make an entrance into a new city.

I am in awe of how good you are. Engaging, entertaining, thought-provoking. You would think that you were a grown up or something. It makes me not miss the two of you so much. Thanks.

How much do I love thinking of you dancing? (and I also love thinking of that person on the sidewalk who became a participant) *smile*

We were just doing a little Cat Stevens kitchen dancing ourselves this weekend. LJ picked it over Laurie Berkner and I almost, almost forgave her for the bad case of 3 1/2 she's had lately.
